SETTING.

Situated in The Condado´s Area with around 13.000 inhabitants, Bollullos Par del Condado is 47 Kms. from Huelva City and is one of the cities of this province with a major demographic development . According to archeological remains found, this city dates from The Bronze Age, and it reached a great development during the Roman occupation. The old “Bibulca” appears now as Bollullos, being part of the Guzmanes´ Dominion and later of the Condado de Niebla´s Dominion. It´s considered a city since 1.948.

The A-92 motorway connects Bollullos with Sevilla ( at a distance of 45 kms. ) and Huelva, so Bollullos is well-connected with the principal entrance gate by plane ( Sevilla Airport, 60 kms ), and by train with The Santa Justa Railway Station, in Sevilla. It´s interesant to know that the motorway goes to Ayamonte and there connects to the Portuguese Motorway by means of an international bridge, so we have access to another airport in Faro, (153 Kms. from Bollullos) and it´s a very important entrance gate for the International Tourism here, in the South of the Iberian Peninsula.

Bollulos is a fantastic Land of Wines, more than 50% of his territory is plenty of vineyards whose wines satisfy the more exacting palate because of his very good quality and his Wine-making Process. All this vineyard area extends through the plain of the Guadalquivir River with a singular climate that is very influenced by the Ocean.

Bollullos is, par excellence," The City of the Wine Area ". The most important part of his economic activity revolve around the agriculture, the vineyard crop and the wine-making process: Bollullos receives the quality label D.O. (Denominacio de Origen: prestigious product classification and a guarantee of quality) of the “Consejo Regulador de la Denominación de Origen , Condado de Huelva"and it is the major producer of wines of all this province and has the biggest cooperative wine-growing of Andalucía, besides it counts on varieties that ranges from the fruity and youngest wines to the generous servants in barrels of wood.

The road that goes to Almonte appears sprinkled by the typical still lifes where there can be tasted the best products of the province, the shellfish of the coast and the stuffed and cured hams , accompanied by a good wine. Also the agriculture of irrigation has done itself an important role, being cultivated the strawberry and vegetable products.
